Leevin hostel mountjoy

Located in Dublin city centre just steps away from tourist attractions and famous pubs, Leevin Hostel Mountjoy is a historical building. The building was built in 1900 and housed Saint Joseph’s, a former convent and orphanage. It is in this mix between the classic and the modern that Leevin Hostel Mountjoy was rebuilt: the old chapel was transformed into a games room for students, the walls received handmade illustrations, under the theme of the provinces of Ireland – Connacht, Munster, Leinster and Ulster. Each floor is identified by colours and illustrations from each province, providing our guests with an immersion in Irish culture.

No matter your preference or budget, we have a room to suit your needs. We offer a broad range of private and shared room types, from double and twin options to shared dorms. We also have ensuite and shared bathroom options available. All beds in our shared dorms are designed with your comfort in mind, equipped with a privacy curtain, individual lamps, sockets and personal storage lockers. Leevin Hostel Mountjoy has over 190 beds, divided into 38 rooms of different styles: ranging from 2 people sharing up to our largest occupancy room, 8 people. Our shared rooms are split into female and male rooms.
